We just finished mixing a new batch of tunes on Tuesday night. They're available for free download in the Music section. The collection is called Callahan. I sense a theme developing.

So Why The Change?

Rick and I have been doing our acoustic thing on a monthly basis for the last six months or so, and we really felt like we should stop introducing ourselves as "Rick and John". So a name seemed to make sense. Friends sit in from time to time, and it's just easier to say, "Hey, we're Everyone Loves Mahoney".

If you're not catching the name reference, please revisit some true classic '80s comedy. As in Carey Mahoney, from Police Academy. We wanted something fun, so why not give Steve Guttenburg a nod. At least we didn't call the band "Johnny 5".

We'll probably be expanding from our acoustic roots this summer, but for right now we'll be doing the same thing we always do. Namely, bringing way too many guitars to cover a 2 hour set and playing anything we feel like.

Everyone Loves Mahoney is back, for the first time. Rick and John are now known as Everyone Loves Mahoney.

We're working to get the site up as fast as possible, so please bear with us.
